My husband and I are taking this epic trip to Europe on Royal Caribbean. The cruise is a repositioning cruise. Royal Caribbean is repositioning the Serenade of The Seas from the Caribbean to Europe. The Serenade of the Seas is in the Radiance Class (for those in the know, not the biggest but long from the smallest for those not in the know). Below is a quick view of the ship. I have never been to Europe. I’ve been to Vancouver, Canada and just across the border into Mexico and on a couple of Caribbean cruises, but never anywhere as far as Europe.
We will leave from Boston on April 24th and arrive in Cork, Ireland on May 1st. That is 6 days at sea. I’m wondering what it will be like to spend 6 days at sea. It seems like a long time to be out in the open ocean. We will also be losing 1 hour each day as we go across the ocean. I’m not sure whether it is better to suffer slowly through the time changes or quickly with a flight. I will have to let you know once I’ve experienced it.
The following stops are:
- Portland (Dorset), UK
- Le Havre (Paris), France
- Cherbourg, France
- Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium
- Amsterdam, Holland
- Gothenburg, Sweden
- Copenhagen, Denmark
Then we fly back to Boston then home to Gulfport, MS.
